When did I start making collage? It was in 1978, after a trip to Israel. What inspired me when I came home was that I wanted to capture the sand, the vast desert. I didn’t know how to express it, it didn’t occur to me to paint it. Somehow, I reached for sandpaper and started pasting… I began to collage then though I continued drawing and painting.
